Virgin Mobile announces Android 4.1Available for $99.99
Prepaid carrier Virgin Mobile announced the newest edition to its 3G smartphone lineup today: the
Virgin Mobile Awe.
Manufactured by ZTE, the Android 4.1 handset features a 4-inch touch screen. Powering the device is a 1,650mAh battery that offers a reported talk time of 11.2 hours, and a 1.2GHz processor.
The Awe is also equipped with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera that can record up to 720p video.
Additional features include 1GB of RAM, 4GB of ROM, Bluetooth v4.0, and expandable memory up to 32GB.
Judging by its specs, the Awe is similar to another ZTE handset, the Reef, but the Awe does not have waterproof capabilities like the latter, and it features a slightly faster processor.
Virgin customers will be able to purchase the phone beginning today, with unlimited talk, text, and data from the carrier for $55.
